Our school values a well-rounded lifestyle for our students that includes ample opportunities to grow, have fun, explore new ideas, and develop new talents. That is why we support a variety of school- and campus-wide events that engage students outside of the classroom.
Our goal is to create:
- An environment where students feel connected to the faculty, staff and their peers
- Opportunities for students to engage with public health professionals
- Experiences that develop new skills and talents
- Fun and excitement
Since 2012, the Public Health Lecture Series has featured leaders in the field of public health that reflect the multidisciplinary foundation of our school. Faculty, students, and staff are encouraged to nominate speakers working in new and emerging areas of research, innovative practice, and/or leadership positions.
Past events have been made available to the public as instructional resources. These archived presentations, in addition to our podcast recordings, are a way to sustain access to the knowledge and experience our guests bring to campus.
Our events, unless otherwise indicated, are free and open to the public. Please register for an upcoming event to receive reminders and updates about the event.
Feel free to contact our office at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions regarding upcoming events or ideas for future engagement. If you are representing SPH at an event, request marketing and promotional items at least 10 days in advance.
