I’ve always found it difficult to focus on just one area of family health. I’ve researched and worked with both young children and older adults. I’ve studied low-income families, minority families, and intergenerational families. Despite being all over the place in my family health interests, I have found that there is one area that has consistently kept my attention: family policy. There is nothing I am more passionate about than developing and implementing family policies here in the United States that will benefit all families and improve their quality of life. When I graduate, I am hoping to work for the state in the Department of Human Services and eventually work for the federal government.
