Master's Degree Programs

The School of Public Health-Bloomington offers twenty six master’s degree majors.  Below each degree title are links to academic bulletin, course degree requirements (tabsheets) and program website, if applicable.

The family health major is being discontinued, but students interested in family health may retain this focus as part of the degree requirements for the 2017 behavioral, social, and community health major. Students beginning at IU Bloomington in the summer of 2017, and after, may no longer choose the family health major. Alternatively, the behavioral, social, and community health major should be chosen.

Physical Activity, Fitness and Wellness M.S. in Kinesiology degree

The Physical Activity, Fitness and Wellness (PAFW) major is being discontinued, and replaced by the Master of Public Health degree (MPH) with a major in Physical Activity. The MPH in Physical Activity is currently available, and is described near the top of this page. Students who have been admitted to the Physical Activity, Fitness and Wellness (PAFW) program may complete their degrees with this major. Students beginning at IU Bloomington in the summer of 2017, and after, may no longer choose the PAFW major. Such students are urged to select the MPH degree in Physical Activity.
