The Indiana University School of Public Health-Bloomington seeks to improve the health of Indiana and beyond through community-focused and participatory initiatives.

The school is proud to partner with numerous individuals and institutions to improve “global health,” which includes health for both individuals in Indiana and the United States and in other countries.  Faculty, students, and staff work with community and international organizations to conduct research, service and service learning, teaching, and workforce development.

Within this context, the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington’s vision is to improve global health through school-wide efforts. Global health includes wellness, quality of life, and optimized health. Global health issues transcend borders and are local, national, and international in nature. They require solutions focused on health enhancement, stemming from trans-disciplinary approaches. These efforts are inclusive across the school’s work, and connect partners across multiple fields.
