Accreditation

Assuring a quality public health education

The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH), an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. CEPH assists schools and programs with the ongoing evaluation of their practice, research, and service efforts, and grants accreditation to schools and programs that meet its criteria for quality and integrity.

The accreditation process

The IU School of Public Health-Bloomington conducts a thorough self-study that examines its administrative processes and policies, effectiveness at student engagement, degree offerings, graduation rates and other rigorous criteria set forth by CEPH. After the most recent site visit, the CEPH Board of Councilors voted to extend accreditation to the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington until December 31, 2027.

The school's official accreditation report can be sent upon request by contacting Kathleen Sobiech.
